Criticized for her hair or even her weight after her election, Ève Gilles does not hold her tongue when it comes to putting things straight. Present at the castle of star Academy this week, she started a “scarf battle” with Héléna and once again took part in the interview game on France 5natural and smiling.
Faced with the images of December 16, she was questioned about the suspense created by Jean-Pierre Foucault before the fateful announcement. Far from blaming the host, she confided that it was in reality a welcome moment of break, after the intense sequence of events of the evening. This even allowed her to chat with Miss Guyana, first runner-up, and to say to herself: “There we are really there”.

Unlike other Miss France who said they had incessant nightmares in which they were photographed, Ève Gilles says she dreams a lot about her Miss France apartment: “So I don’t feel like I’m sleeping”. Being photographed at events and in the streets is not a problem for Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais. What was, however, was the harassment she suffered after her election because of her short hair: “To me, it’s harassment when tens of thousands of people post negative comments to try to hurt a person”. But she remains positive and prefers to think of all the people who supported her.
The one who always wanted to become Miss France (images of her at 4 years old shown on set confirm this) is enjoying today. Besides, she might never have been Miss! Indeed, Miss France can now be married or have children. But according to the regulations, they must always be at least 1m70 tall. And that wasn’t his case… He was 3 millimeters short of making his dream come true. For the young woman, it was actually a posture problem. Too slouched in front of the television or at school, she corrected this and gradually gained the height required to participate in the beauty pageant. Miss France 2024 took the opportunity to explain the reason for this rule: You must be at least 1m70 tall to be able to wear haute couture clothing. It would not be possible to retouch them due to lack of time.
