This restaurant of a Top Chef winner has just received its first Michelin star (the menu is less than 50 euros)

Each year, the list of new establishments and chefs having obtained stars in the Michelin guide is revealed in March. After a ceremony which took place in the city of Tours this Monday, March 18, 2024 in the afternoon, we learned that more than 62 new restaurants have made their entry into the legendary Michelin-starred guide. A very good figure which concerns exclusively the French territory with the entry of nearly 52 establishments which obtained one star, eight two-star establishments and two three-star establishments!

If the quality of the products, their provenance, their freshness, as well as the authenticity and creativity of the chefs were evaluated this year, the work of Michelin guide inspectors must always remain anonymous. It is in this context that a new Top chef has just entered the list of starred restaurateurs by this renowned guide who rules the roost in the world of gastronomy. Over the years, many candidates on the M6 ​​gastronomic show have seen their name and restaurant adorned with this coveted macaroon.

This Top Chef candidate to have obtained a star in the 2024 Michelin guide

Last year there were more than four former participants of Top chef who stood out by receiving their first Michelin star: Jordan Yuste, candidate for the eleventh season for his establishment Arrival in the city of Sète, Thibaut Spiwack, candidate for the thirteenth season for his restaurant Arona in Paris, Nicolas Seibold, candidate for the seventh season for his establishment The Mutiny in Lyon and finally Mallory Gabsi, candidate for the eleventh season, winning the Young Chef prize in addition to her first star.

This year, only one candidate from the show was able to stand out by obtaining his very first star in the Michelin guide and it is Camille Delcroix, candidate for the ninth season of Top Chef in 2018. Member of the brigade by Philippe Etchebest, the young man had won his edition of Top Chef at the time. Originally from Nord–Pas-de-Calais, the former candidate chose to return to his roots in Saint-Omer by opening his restaurant accompanied by his wife which is located in the dining room which they called Bacôve in honor of ‘an emblematic boat of the region. If he had already won the prize for “Cuisine of the sea, lakes and rivers” in 2023 by Gault & Millau, this year Camille Delcroix won his first star in the Michelin guide six years after his victory!

In the PACA region, no less than eight establishments have won a star, the list of which you can find on the Michelin guide website, and one establishment in Corsica. Occitanie, for its part, sees eleven new restaurants enter the list, Brittany, two, New Aquitaine, three and Centre-Val de Loire, one.

On the Paris side, no less than twelve restaurants obtained their first star while Hauts-de-France saw three of their establishments receive awards, including Bacôve by Camille Delcroix.
