This dry sausage sold in the main supermarkets has been withdrawn from sale. The presence of shards of glass in this product is suspected.

Le Galibier dry sausage sold in packaging in the following stores: Auchan, Carrefour, Casino, Intermarché, Leclerc, Provera, Système U, Francap has been recalled because of the risk it entails. The Rappel Conso platform publishes an alert on Monday, June 13 and asks consumers not to consume this product if it has already been purchased.

On its site Rappel Conso evokes the “possible presence, in the dry sausages, of pieces of glass”, which represent a riskinjuries” and or of “adverse effects related to the ingestion of this product”. The Le Galibier dry sausage is presented in a film and with an external string. It was put into circulation from April 22, 2022. The recall procedure which started on Monday should last until July 18, 2022.

The second sausage concerned this year

Many various deli meats have recently been identified as hazardous to health and for different reasons. The presence of glass has already affected another sausage last April. This time it was the Veritable Jesus of Lyon, from the Reflets de France brand sold at Carrefour, which could contain traces of glass. During the same month, Rappel Conso had also called for vigilance for delicatessen products that could contain traces of the Listeria bacterium. These were various charcuterie sold in the Tarn and marketed by the Sica des Pays de L’Autan.

In this case, on this article from the Le Galibier brand, four batches of dry sausages have been identified by the health authority. Here are the references published by Rappel Conso :
