Since February 2021, a new aid is aimed at students who are on a work-study program. An interesting subsidy which makes it possible to take charge of part of their rent. However, many are those who do not know it, nor claim it.
When we are young student, it is well known, expenses are scrutinized down to the smallest detail. It must be said that for many the costs can quickly accumulate. Between the rent to be paid, the utilities, the daily shopping, the subscriptions and the school fees to be paid… So much so that some young people even have to deprive themselves of certain pleasures in order to be able to live decently. But what very few students know is that they are entitled to certain aids to meet their needs. In France, there is in particular a allowance for young people under 30, who are still studying, on a work-study basis. Many are those who do not know it, nor claim it.
It is Mobili-Jeune® assistancepaid by Action Logement since February 2021. amount of 1000 euros, it makes it possible to cover part of the rent of a dwelling, each month, for one year. It is aimed at young people with low incomes.
Mobili-Jeune® help: who can benefit from it?
To qualify for this assistance, you must meet certain criteria :
- Be under 30 years old;
- Be on an apprenticeship or professionalization contract;
- Being a tenant of accommodation close to your place of training or your company;
- Have a gross monthly salary upon hiring that does not exceed 100% of the minimum wage.
the aid calculation is made on the basis of the amount of the rent, “after deduction of the various housing aid received (APL)”, indicates the Action Logement website. the amount can therefore vary from a minimum of €10 per month to a maximum of €100.
Mobili-Jeune® help: the steps to take
The procedures to obtain Mobili-Jeune® assistance are enough simple. To do this, simply apply directly for assistance on the Action Logement website. When you register, certain information and documents you will be requested :
- An ID ;
- A copy of the work-study contract;
- A copy of your signed accommodation lease;
- A rib ;
- A certificate of aid from the CAF.
After validation of your file, each month, you will also have to provide your payslip and your rent receipt, to certify your situation.
To note that : the aid must be requested before the start of your training, or a maximum of 6 months after it.
