It's well known that TikTok is the new social network to follow in general, but it is also the case if you are looking to unearth the latest trends of the moment, including those in the world of beauty and cosmetics. And for good reason, it is full of products that make the buzz, beauty hairstyle tutorials, and care advice and make-up practical to make your daily life easier.
After encouraging us to take responsibility for our dark circles by drawing ourselves under the eyes with makeup, TikTok keeps reviewing our vision of concealer and now teaches us how to use this essential beauty kit in a whole new way.
Marks of fatigue, red spots, small visible veins that make us feel more complex … Concealer is the ideal makeup product to hide a bad look or those small details that we (too quickly) judge to be flaws. While many of us can't live without it to brighten up their eyes, few knew that this concealer also had the ability to truly transform their face, until recently at least.
Not long ago, a TikTokeuse named Megha Singh indeed shared a surprising beauty tutorial to unveil a whole new way of applying concealer that allows you to lift the entire face without surgery! At a time when the contourings revisited that enhance the contours of the face and make-up foxy eyes which stretch the eyes are popular, inevitably the beauty trick has been emulated. And we have to admit that the proof is there in his viral video: the comparison between the two halves of his face – one benefiting from the concealer lifting technique and the other not – is astounding.
The technique for lifting your face with concealer
In this TikTok video, the young woman judiciously places her illuminating concealer in different strategic places of her face to create an effect facelift with concealer and give the impression of lifting and tightening the features of his face. Specifically, we see her apply successive strokes of concealer to different areas of her face in specific ways each time.
First, she starts by putting concealer in the outer corner of the eye, applying it upwards and working from the underside of the eye to work your way up to the outer corner.
Then, she reproduces the same gesture at the level of the corner of the lips, emphasizing the bottom of the lower lips to go up towards the corner. Then, she continues by putting a touch of concealer in the inner corner of her eye and another in the corner of the nose, before applying another just under the eye (well in the middle of the eye), before end up drawing an ascending line of concealer under his cheekbone.
Once the concealer is in place, she melts the makeup onto her skin using a BeautyBlender-type makeup sponge and voila: her face is lifted!
