Still Wakes the Deep, a horror game eagerly awaited by thrill seekers, has finally been given a release date. Plus, it doesn’t come from just any studio.
There are plenty of horror games on the independent scene. Unfortunately, they’re not all unforgettable gems. Sometimes, we are simply dealing with an experience full of jolts, in short, it is not the dream. Generally speaking, it is difficult to find rare gems in this genre. That said, there is a certain production that has caught the eye of horror aficionados for quite some time: Still Wakes the Deep. And that’s it, we got a release date. Coming soon.
Still Wakes the Deep gets a new trailer and a release date
This adventure under the sign of fear comes to us from the ovens of The Chinese Room studio. The name may not ring a bell, but his creations certainly don’t. We owe him, for example, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, Dear Esther or Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture. As you can see, we are dealing with a true specialist in first-person experiences. And in a few months, we’ll be able to do Still Wakes the Deep. June 18, 2024 to be more precise.
Until now, we didn’t know the release date. It was revealed during the Future Games Show, and we’re delighted to know that it’s for this year. We could have suspected it, but we prefer to have official confirmation. As a reminder, Still Wakes the Deep will arrive on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The icing on the cake ? Day one availability on Xbox Game Pass. We can say that we are spoiled. As a bonus, we even have a new trailer allowing us to have another glimpse of the oil platform on which we will be trapped. And it gives you chills.
So, what exactly awaits us in June? A horrific experience set in the 1970s, off the coast of Scotland. We play a worker on an oil platform who, let’s face it, doesn’t have much luck. It is actually stuck on site because of a nasty storm, in the middle of the North Sea. You will therefore have to find the rest of the crew members, but there is just one small problem. There’s something else on board, and it obviously means harm to you. Are you going to take the plunge and plunge into hell?
