this toy sold at GIFI is recalled throughout France, it must not be used

The government site Rappel Conso has just announced the massive recall of a children’s toy sold by GIFI since 2019. It would present risks to the health of toddlers.

The recall from the government site concerns a fake food board, a toy imitating kitchen boards reserved for adults.

Its dangerousness would essentially come from the small elements delivered with this board…

The batches concerned

Five batches of this toy are recalled in all GIFI stores in France: LT2001008, LT2000940, LT2000598, LT2000193 and LT2000607. Sold between June 1, 2019 and March 22, 2024, in the 564 GIFI stores in France, they were intended for babies and children.

The toy box contains in total: a cutting board, a small wooden knife as well as fake croissants and fake vegetables.

Risks of ingestion

According to the Rappel Conso website, this toy can cause “internal damage” to children who use it because they can swallow the small objects sold with this fake food board.

The site advises returning this toy directly to the checkout of the GIFI store where it was purchased. Customers will be refunded. For any questions, contact: 05 53 40 54 54
