Released in theaters in 2004 with a ban on children under 12, Man on Fire tells the story of John Creasy, a bodyguard, played by Denzel Washington, who befriends the little girl he must protect. When the little girl is kidnapped, John sets off in pursuit of the kidnappers, swearing to find his protegee.
An ultra-violent dive into Mexico masterfully produced by a Scott who digs a little deeper into the furrow of a cinema saturated with effects, Man on Fire is a thriller frankly impressive, both brutal and melancholy.
