With the Warzone Pacific Season 3 update looming on the horizon, there could be some significant changes to the sniper meta. One Forgotten Weapon in particular could benefit greatly.
Although many new snipers have been added to Warzone over the past year or so, the long range meta continues to be dominated by the Kar98k and Swiss K31.
Despite nerfs and improvements to other weapons, both of these sniper rifles held their place in the top 5 most used weapons last year and are pretty much a must-have on Caldera, given the nature of a lot of combat.
With Raven Software’s Season 3 update looming on the horizon, some players think they’re finally going to get what they want and the sniper meta is going to be turned upside down. If that comes to fruition, it could be good news for the Black Ops Cold War Tundra LW3.
Kar98k and Swiss K31 have dominated Warzone for a long time.
A Tundra class that rivals the best snipers in Warzone?
Warzone content creator Metaphor highlighted Cold War’s powerful sniper in his April 17 video, suggesting he could be the one to knock the two behemoths off their perch.
“There are massive sniper changes coming in Season 3 that will drastically change the meta”said the Youtubeur. “The Tundra is also impacted by these changes, however, it will rise above other weapons when the time comes.”
As he showed, the sniper can wreak havoc on Caldera thanks to his high bullet velocity and fast ADS. However, the recoil can be a big drawback.

Like we said, it’s hard for a sniper other than the Kar98k or Swiss K31 to impact the meta, and the Tundra absolutely falls into that category, as it has a pick rate of 0 .35% on WZRanked.
However, if the Youtuber is right players will experiment with other choices and that could be great news for the Tundra.
