Wearing a stunning Bruce Oldfield gown for the coronation, Camilla let a very romantic detail show on her outfit. A symbol that testifies to her affection for Charles.

Camilla Parker-Bowls was crowned queen consort this Saturday, May 6 at Westminster Abbey, under the eyes of more than 2,000 guests and millions of viewers. The Queen Consort chose to pay different tributes to Elizabeth II through her outfit, wearing earrings and a crown that belonged to her. Her dress, designed by Bruce Oldfield (Princess Diana’s favorite designer), was thought through to the smallest detail.

Camilla’s dress features half-length sleeves, a v-neck and shoulder pads that add structure to her outfit. The golden details embroidered on her dress have a very special meaning : “The embroideries of the coronation robe feature delicate garlands of abstract wildflowers from fields and hedgerows: strings of daisies, forget-me-nots, celandine and scarlet pimpernel, representing the affection of the king and queen consort for nature and the British countryside“, explained Buckingham Palace in a press release. But another detail of Camilla’s dress also caught the eye.
