Metal card offers have multiplied in recent years, particularly from online banks. A nobank has just decided to no longer market this type of card.
The bank card is of course a very practical piece of plastic for paying for purchases, but for some consumers it is a statutory means of payment which allows it to stand out. If Gold or Visa Premier type cards have become widely popular in recent years, the major networks have expanded their offering with Black, Infinite or even Platinum cards.
Some online banks or nobanks have decided to offer metal cards for several years. This is the case of BoursoBank, Revolut, Nickel, N26, Vivid and even bunq.

We do not know if these cards are very successful, it must be said that the cost of a Metal card is (very) high, but now the number of offers is reduced.
More Metal Cards at bunq
The Dutch nobank bunq, which claims more than 11 million users in Europe, no longer sells its metal card, even if current users can still use it. According to the latest price brochure as of March 1, 2024, they can still order a replacement card for 89.99 euros.
Until now, the bunq Metal card was available to customers who made a 24-month prepayment to subscribe to the bunq Easy Money Personal or bunq Easy Money Business offer, or a 12-month bunq Easy Green Personal or bunq subscription. Easy Green Business. Disadvantage: this prepayment was not refundable for a customer who decided to leave bunq before the scheduled end of their subscription.
A price overhaul
Furthermore, bunq has just announced a price overhaul of its offer. Since March 1, its formulas have increased by one euro. Easy Bank goes from 2.99 to 3.99 euros per month; Easy Money from 8.99 to 9.99 euros per month and Easy Green from 17.99 to 18.99 euros per month.
An increase which also concerns professional users of the nobank. The monthly contribution for Easy Bank increases from 6.99 to 7.99 euros; of 12.99 to 13.99 euros for Easy Money and 22.99 to 23.99 euros for Easy Green. For its part, the bunq pack, which includes 4 bunq Easy Money Personal accounts or 3 bunq Easy Money Personal accounts and 1 bunq Easy Money Business account, sees its price jump from 24.99 to 28.99 euros.
