If you do not know Tabitha Brown, know that she is one of the new stars born on the social network Tik Tok. Mother of a family based in California but originally from North Carolina, she shares her favorite vegan recipes on a daily basis with her community of almost 5 million Internet users.

One of his most viral recipes is bacon-style carrots. Ultra light (40 calories per 100g portion) and vegan, it’s a novelty to consume without moderation.

Ingredients :

  • 1 or 2 carrots
  • 1 tablespoon of liquid smoked or barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered onions
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • Salt
  • Pepper

The preparation :

  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees
  • After carefully washing and peeling your carrots, use your peeler to make very thin strips similar to slices of bacon.
  • Make a quick marinade with your smoked sauce, maple syrup, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Dip the carrot slices in the marinade and let them soak up the aromas for 2 minutes
  • Arrange the strips on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and cook in the oven for 5 minutes at 200 degrees while watching. If, like Tabitha Brown, you have a fat-free hot air fryer, even better! Fry your carrot slices in it at 200 degrees for 5 minutes.


Take them out of the oven and place them on absorbent paper to let them cool and release the moisture.
