This War of Mine: Fundraising for the Ukrainian Red Cross reaches $700,000 – This War of Mine

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine started a few days ago now. While many politicians and public figures have spoken out on this subject, video game development studios have also made a point of making their voices heard. Like the team behind This War of Mine, 11 bit Studios.

As of February 24, 11 bit Studios had set up a fundraiser: all proceeds from the purchase of their This War of Mine title, or DLCs, will be donated to The Ukrainian Red Cross. They had also announced their initiative on their official Twitter account. At the time of this writing, they would have reached a significant plateau. Indeed, according to the latest information, they would have managed to collect 700,000 dollars, in total.

Moreover, this gesture has inspired other development studios and other publishers. Indeed, shortly after 11 bit Studios’ tweet, Acid Wizard Studio and Crunching Koalas have announced their own fundraiser. The process is similar since the profits generated by the purchase of their Darkwood game will be donated to the same Ukrainian organization. Note that this will end on March 8.
