This Warzone accessory makes the Welgun “OP”

YouTuber TrueGameData has revealed an accessory that makes the Welgun “op” in Warzone. This one makes the Vanguard SMG one of the best sniper support weapons in the game.

Vanguard weapons in Warzone aren’t particularly new, having been present in Call of Duty’s battle royale since Warzone Pacific finally saw the light of day in December 2021.

Among the strongest options in terms of WWII weaponry is the Welgun, Vanguard’s SMG renowned for its consistency and rate of fire. This was reflected in the most used weapons in Warzone, a list of which the Welgun has often been a part.

However, according to Warzone analyst and content creator TrueGameData, there is an “OP” attachment for the submachine gun that makes it ultra-constant at long ranges and the perfect support weapon for snipers.

The Welgun arrived in the Warzone shortly after the launch of Vanguard.

The Welgun in Warzone made too powerful thanks to this accessory?

In a video released on March 26, TGD explained that there appears to be a slight issue with the in-game damage profile of an attachment to the Welgun, which means that the damage falloff is not working as intended.

The accessory in question is the Gorenko 7.62mm 48 Round Magazine.

As TGD shows, issues with the way it was programmed into the game mean that its damage remains stable at long range. While strong up close, its real strength is in mid ranges where it surpasses the TTK expected of a standard SMG.

TGD explains: “Overall very OP as a sniper support”.

While up close it will always be outmatched by the most powerful SMGs in the game (Owen and MP40), few if any SMGs can compete with its longer range TTK.
