This Warzone chart shows the advantage of Vanguard weapons

Weapon balancing has been a hot topic in the Warzone community since launch.

But since the Reloaded Season 3 update brought major improvements to Vanguard weapons while reducing the effectiveness of Cold War weapons, players feel that the weapon balancing isn’t exactly adequate.

The NZ-41 and STG are by far the most popular weapons, and the data shows just how much of a disparity there is between the popularity of Vanguard weapons and those of Modern Warfare and Cold War.

Vanguard weapons have dominated Warzone for quite a while now.

Using data from WZRanked, we can see how Modern Warfare, Cold War, and Vanguard’s weapon pick rates compare as Season 3 draws to a close.

This data shows that since the Season 3 update on April 26, the popularity of Vanguard weapons has skyrocketed while that of Cold War and Modern Warfare has plummeted.

At the start of Season 3, each game’s weapons had a pick rate of around 30%, with Vanguard’s weapons narrowly ahead of the other two. However, as of June 19, Vanguard weapons are chosen almost 60% of the time, Cold War weapons are picked at 17%, and Modern Warfare weapons are picked at 23% of the time.

This graph shows well the disinterest of the players for the weapons of Cold War and Modern Warfare.

The contrast is stark and shows how players feel Cold War and Modern Warfare weapons are less powerful than Vanguard’s.

And with Warzone’s Season 4 update approaching, players are hoping this new season will give Cold War and Modern Warfare weapons a little more love, and put the brakes on some of the best. Vanguard weapons, like the STG44 and NZ-41.
