When it comes to SMGs in the Warzone, the MP40 and Owen Gun stand out as the top two picks in Season 2 Reloaded.
These weapons are excellent thanks to their incredibly fast TTK and mobility. Which makes them powerful melee weapons, especially on the Rebirth Island map.
Despite this, some players prefer to use a class that can operate at a bit longer distance. And so to act more like sniper support.
Metaphor, a Warzone youtuber, thinks the Welgun is a perfect fit for this role, provided you’re using a specific gun.

Instead of building the Welgun like a typical close-combat SMG, Metaphor decided to outfit the weapon with more versatile attachments that allow it to perform well at a slightly longer range.
The most fundamental change is the change from the 320 mm SA Shrouded gun to the 240 mm Hockenson gun, which allows the weapon to gain in accuracy.
This makes it a perfect sniper support option to rival the Cold War AK47 or LAPA.
Finally, the rest of the class focuses on maximizing the Welgun’s damage and along with the perks that improve mobility, this build is a force to be reckoned with in the hands of good players.
