This week Aldi is offering a stylish city e-bike with good features at a very reasonable price. We take a closer look at the offer.

Since the temperatures are slowly reaching double digits again and the sun comes out every now and then, nothing stands in the way of the first bike tour of the year – at most a missing new e-bike. A suitable model is now available in Aldi Nord branches and in the online shop, which is available exclusively from the discounter.
The city e-bike from Prophete has an aluminum frame and 28 inch rims. It is equipped with a powerful mid-engine that supports you with up to 70 Newton meters. So even steep climbs are no problem for you.
The battery disappears into the down tube and offers a capacity of 360 watt hours, a mediocre value but which, according to the manufacturer, should be sufficient for a range of 110 kilometers. So tours shouldn’t be a problem either.
Hub gears, hydraulic disc brakes
Additional features include a 7-speed hub gear from Shimano, hydraulic disc brakes, an adjustable suspension fork from Suntour and a lighting system. The angle of the stem can also be adjusted and there is space on the luggage rack for bags etc.
In terms of features, the price is really good. Only the battery capacity is mediocre, otherwise you get a solid e-bike that is also suitable for touring for relatively little money.

The e-bike is sold exclusively by Aldi. The manufacturer’s recommended retail price is 2,200 euros, meaning you save almost 1,000 euros when purchasing.
