After the Addon C10 multiroom speaker, we are testing its little sister, the C5 (€250). The two models from the manufacturer tested so far have always rewarded us with excellent sound performance. Hopefully this will still be the case here…
Despite a little sin of gluttony in the highest frequencies, the Addon C5 offers excellent sound performance compared to its direct rivals. In terms of functionality and connectivity, it is not the most generous, but remains simple to use and configure. Above all, we hope that the manufacturer will quickly bring a little breath of fresh air to its application, in order to enrich the multiroom experience.
Strong points
Very well balanced sound reproduction
up to 10 kHz, deep bass.
Precise, good readability of the soundstage.
Excellent power/size ratio.
Simple to use.
Robust, carefully manufactured.
Weak points
Marked brilliance in the treble.
A somewhat austere mobile application and not entirely translated into French.
Few indications.
Some absences in terms of connectivity (multipoint Bluetooth, optical input, USB port for audio playback).

The Era 100 is a worthy heir to the Sonos One. It offers rich and warm sound reproduction, has numerous features and benefits from one of the best multiroom systems available, all in a compact design. We also appreciate the addition of Bluetooth connectivity. Despite the new version of TruePlay, the Era 100 only truly sings in tune once the advanced calibration has been carried out, which is unfortunately only possible with an iOS device.
