Before closing her bags filled with all kinds of plastic, she threw in a little something extra: a AirTag Apple. The GPS tag has already been used to find stolen cars or even arrest grave robbers after all. The experiment has borne fruit and the results are edifying: out of 12 “booby-trapped” bags, 9 landed in a managed open dump by Wright Waste Management. The company claims it recycles. The problem is, it has been waiting for permission to do so since 2022.
