Françoise Hardy suffering: she hopes to die “as painlessly as possible”

On the occasion of Françoise Hardy’s 80th birthday, on January 16, her son, Thomas Dutronc, had already assured that she was not dying in the columns of the Parisian. Jacques Dutronc’s wife had, moreover, herself mentioned her health and had however revealed that she was not even able to celebrate her birthday due to illness: “Since the radiotherapy burned my salivary glands, prevented me from breathing normally, disrupted my digestive system, etc. I can no longer celebrate anything with anyone.” If the artist therefore does not wish to die, on several occasions in recent months, she has had very strong words about the end of life. During an interview for Paris Match, in December 2023, she assured that she wanted to disappear quickly: Leave soon and quickly, without too many challenges, such as the impossibility of breathing. Leave for the other dimension as soon, as quickly and as painlessly as possible.”
