Shortly before his “Wetten, dass ..?” Comeback, Thomas Gottschalk raved about his partner Karina Mroß.

Thomas Gottschalk (71) is about to make his “Wetten, dass ..?” Comeback this Saturday evening (8:15 pm, ZDF) in Nuremberg. In the first row, his partner Karina Mroß (59) will support him, like the showmaster now in the “Bild” interview has betrayed. “It motivates me when she’s in the audience. Karina is a beautiful woman. I often think: Well, I was lucky that I got another steep tooth at an advanced age,” says Gottschalk.

The presenter and his partner even prepared for the one-off return of the Saturday evening show. A week ago the couple went to a detox in Bolzano, where they lost four kilos, reveals the 71-year-old – “so that people don’t focus on my stomach, but on Helene Fischer’s.”

Gottschalk is also relaxed before his big appearance. He didn’t have stage fright, and never had any. “Otherwise I would have chosen the wrong profession.” There are high expectations and “I am sure we will be able to meet them,” the moderator confidently admits. “I love my job and the people I do it for.”

This is what the audience can expect at “Wetten, dass ..?”

Numerous stars have announced themselves for the show revival. In addition to Schlagerqueen Helene Fischer (37), who will sing a track from her current number one album, rock legend Udo Lindenberg (75) & Das Panikorchester will also be there and present their new song “Kompass”. Björn Ulvaeus (76) and Benny Andersson (74) will also talk about their ABBA comeback after 40 years.

The presenters Joko Winterscheidt (42) and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (38) as well as Heino Ferch (58) and fellow actor Svenja Jung (28) are among the competition sponsors. Gottschalk’s former co-host Michelle Hunziker (44) is also part of the show.
