In 2020 Thomas Gottschalk will host a show in the first. A second entertainment format will follow from spring.
Thomas Gottschalk (70) comes back with new TV shows. Together with SWR, the entertainer brings two entertainment formats to the screens – one at the turn of the year, one from spring, as the broadcaster has now announced.
"Thomas Gottschalk: 2020 – the show" in the first
At the end of the year, Gottschalk will host a format in the first that will probably be called "Thomas Gottschalk: 2020 – the show". He wants to greet guests "who have had to do without in the last few months – and catch up on special experiences with them. Celebrities and non-celebrities can make their big appearance on the show, share emotional moments and of course have a lot of fun," he promises SWR in advance.
"Again 18!" on SWR television
From the spring of 2021, Gottschalk will also be presenting the new eight-part show series "Nochmal 18!" for SWR television and the ARD media library. In the new primetime show, the presenter will travel back to the age of majority with his celebrity guests and talk about when and how they celebrated their 18th birthday. There should also be a lot of music.
About his collaboration with SWR, Gottschalk says: "My TV career began with SWR, here I am going back to the 'Finale grandioso'. When I was 18, I seriously considered going to the SWR's 'Talentschuppen' (then SWF) apply, but didn't dare. It worked for the last few meters. "
