Thomas Gottschalk has very special ideas when it comes to his next “Wetten, dass..?” guests.

Who could sit on Thomas Gottschalk’s (72) couch in the next “Wetten, dass ..?” ZDF has already confirmed the broadcast date (November 19, 8:15 p.m.), but the guests are not yet known. When it comes to Gottschalk, German pop stars like Mark Forster (39) and Lena Meyer-Landrut (31) are at a disadvantage. Gottschalk Johannes B. Kerner (57) explains this in the talk show “Bestbestsetzung”, which will be broadcast on Magenta TV on Thursday (July 28).

“We are not right with Mark Forster or with Lena Meyer-Landrut”

“Yesterday I phoned the head of entertainment at ZDF, who takes care of these topics – he called the right names. He said: ‘Imagine, in the end Queen sings ‘We Are The Champions (…)'” , reports the show master. He can also imagine Paul McCartney (80) and singer Pink (42). “We’re not right with Mark Forster or Lena Meyer-Landrut, I say. Nothing against these deserving artists, but it’s really important to me that we show a ‘greatness’ that doesn’t have to be explained to me,” emphasizes Gottschalk .

Influencers with many followers don’t seem to impress Gottschalk either. “If you tell me: ‘Someone comes in here, you won’t know them, but they have three million followers.’ Then I say: She should go back out in a big arc,” explains the 72-year-old. For him there are also other “beautiful stories”.
