A small mix-up of names, dream ratings and prominent guests like Helene Fischer, 39, Cher, 77, or Take That: The last “Wetten, dass…?” edition with Thomas Gottschalk, 73, is history – and German celebrities are remembering with them moving social media posts to the outgoing show legend.

Comedian Oliver Pocher, 45, obviously watched Gottschalk’s “Wetten, dass…?” farewell with his children on the sofa at home. “I sat in front of the TV one last time with my children (and there are a few of them) and we watched you,” writes Amira Pocher’s husband, 31, on Instagram.

He confirms presenter legend Gottschalk: “Your career and TV moments were unique and I hope there will be a few more to come.” In his opinion, Gottschalk’s last edition of “Wetten,dass..?” marked the end of “a piece of television history”.
