Mourning for Thomas Gumpert: The actor, known among others from the series "Forbidden Love", died at the age of 68.
Thomas Gumpert died at the age of 68, as "Bild" reported. His agency says: "Unfortunately we have to announce that our actor Thomas Gumpert passed away on January 7th, 2021 at the age of 68 after a short serious illness. We say goodbye to a great actor and lovely colleague."
Accordingly, Gumpert completed his acting studies at the Hans Otto Theater School in Leipzig from 1972 to 1976 and then performed at renowned theaters. He became known to the TV audience through the series "Verbotene Liebe": From 2003 to 2008 he played the role of Johannes Graf von Lahnstein. He was also seen in the telenovela "Alisa – Follow Your Heart" and numerous other TV productions.
