Despite the many leaked images from the filming of the film “Thor: Love and Thunder”, the costume of Christian Bale in the role of Gorr, the Massacrer of the Gods had never been revealed… until the marketing of the figurines.
A series of photos published by the Cosmic Marvel Twitter account allows you to discover the toys that will be marketed when the film is released – scheduled for July 13 in France – with figurines of Natalie Portman in the role of Mighty Thor, Chris Hemsworth in that of Thor, and of Ravager Thor, of Chris Pratt in Star Lord, of Tessa Thompson in King Valkyrie, of Groot, and therefore of Christian Bale in Gorr, the Slaughterer of the Gods. “Holding a mysterious and terrifying weapon in his hand, Gorr won’t let anything or anyone get in his way,” the figure’s box reads.

The character of Gorr, the Slaughterer of the Gods is relatively recent since he made his first appearance in 2012 in the comic book Thor: God of Thunder, by Jason Aaron. After losing his wife and children on his remote, nameless planet, Gorr had lost faith in the existence of Gods until one day two of them kill each other in front of him, confirming their existence. This is how he seizes the Necroblade that has fallen at his feet, which will merge with him, transforming his appearance and making him the equal of the Gods whom he then begins to massacre across the galaxy in revenge for their silence.
