Those who have forgotten about the inflation bonus can (finally) claim it, here is the procedure

Good news for the thousands of French people who have still not been able to receive inflation compensation. This Monday, March 28, the government (finally) launched the teleservice allowing them to claim this bonus of 100 euros. As Capital announced last week, you actually have to go to the portal Mesdroitsociaux.gouv.fr and connect via FranceConnect (with your identifiers for taxes or health insurance, for example) to make the request.

Once connected, a window dedicated to inflation compensation appears on the home page of the site. Simply click on the “Apply online” button to access a short complaint form. The system is able to know if you have already been able to receive the inflation bonus or not. Thus, if you have not received it, the following message is displayed: “According to our information, you have not received the inflation compensation. Before continuing, please make sure by consulting your bank statements, communications from social organizations, etc.

>> Our service – Save up to 300 euros per year by testing our bank rate comparator

You are then asked to answer two questions to find out if you were indeed residing in France in October 2021. The system is then able to summarize your situation at this time, with your status (private employee, civil servant , auto-entrepreneur…) and the level of your average resources. If you do not meet the conditions to receive it (including earning less than 2,000 euros net per month, or 2,600 euros gross), the platform tells you that you are not eligible for inflation compensation. Conversely, if you are entitled to it, you can fill in your bank and contact details to obtain the payment. Finally, if your situation cannot be taken care of automatically by the teleservice, you are invited “to consult the government website (dedicated to inflation compensation, editor’s note) in order to find out which organization to contact”.

In maintenance since Friday, March 25, the teleservice is still subject to some technical problems. In addition, for people benefiting “only from cash benefits for health, maternity, paternity insurance or paid for temporary incapacity”, the application service “is not yet available”, is it specified on the platform dedicated to complaints.

For the record, the government created the inflation allowance at the end of 2021 to support the purchasing power of the French in the face of soaring prices. It is aimed at all French people (private sector employees, job seekers, self-employed, civil servants, retirees, beneficiaries of social minima, etc.) receiving resources of less than 2,000 euros net per month. This bonus of 100 euros was paid automatically by employers or certain organizations (Pôle emploi, Caf, Urssaf, etc.) to almost all eligible people. But for those whose bank account details (RIB) are not known to the public services, this automatic payment could not take place.

For others, it is their dual status that poses a problem. Thus, auto-entrepreneurs registered with Pôle emploi or receiving the RSA have also been forgotten about the automatic payment of the inflation allowance since last December. But thanks to the teleservice launched on Monday, their situation should soon be resolved. As a reminder, a decree published on Friday March 25 provides that a period of ten days from receipt of the request must be respected for the payment of inflation compensation to those forgotten.
