Threatening letter – “Police director” accused Steirerin of pornography

In order to avoid imprisonment, “Police Director Pürstl” demanded a statement from a 60-year-old: she was accused of cyber pornography and pedophilia. It wasn’t the first email the woman received.

“I’m Mr. Gerhard Pürstl, director general of the Vienna police, chief commissioner, head of the department for youth protection.” This is how an email begins that a 60-year-old from Laßnitzhöhe (Graz-Surroundings district) received on Thursday. When reading on, the woman must have had a shock at first: she is accused of child pornography and pedophilia, among other things. If you do not comment on this within 48 hours, an arrest warrant will be issued against you. Luckily, the Styrian woman linked the letter to an email that she had already received on February 9 and exposed the letter from “General Director Pürstl” as fake A week and a half earlier, strangers blackmailed the lady. They hacked the woman’s computer and filmed sexual acts. So that the files would not be published, they demanded bitcoins. The 60-year-old ignored the email. The second time the lady reported it to the police. The police do not yet know whether it is a mass letter that several people received. One would now look around more sharply for such emails. They advise those affected not to respond to such letters and to report them.
