Guest of Sonia Mabrouk in “Le Grand Rendez-vous”, the deputy Guillaume Peltier believes that the political class has its share of responsibility for the threats received by the deputies. He also adds that all the remarks made against the French as well as the decisions taken by Emmanuel Macron have only added to a social climate on the verge of asphyxiation.

Since the adoption of the bill concerning the vaccination pass, the social climate has been close to asphyxiation. This disunity between the executive and the citizens was materialized by new demonstrations, vehement remarks against the Head of State and the multiplication of threats towards the deputies.

Guest of Sonia Mabrouk in “Le Grand Rendez-vous”, deputy Guillaume Peltier believes that the political class is no stranger to the threats received by deputies. “By my position as a deputy who thinks differently, I receive threats. I strongly denounce all this violence, but I also say that the political class bears a form of responsibility,” he explained before adding that all the remarks made against non-vaccinated French people by Emmanuel Macron only accentuated this climate of extreme mistrust around non-vaccination, in society, and contributed to strengthening the Manichean vision of a large number of vaccinated. “The president uses heavy words and tries to divert the French from the essential and to create, basically, a double society. A cleavage between the vaccinated and the non-vaccinated. I denounce this attitude”.

“An unvaccinated negative test is less dangerous for our health than a vaccinated one who carries the virus”

To attempt appeasement, he calls on the political class to restraint and also wisdom on health issues and urges Emmanuel Macron to procrastinate. “I think the president would be wise to present these additional devices to the French to appease our society. Everyone has understood that an unvaccinated person, tested negatively, is less dangerous for our health than a vaccinee who carries the virus”, he assured.
