three entrepreneurs tell us about their journey

On March 8, 2021, aufeminin, in partnership with the Amazon Digital Accelerator, organized a Facebook live on female entrepreneurship. Back to the highlights of this talk.

What do Cindy Poumeyrol, Léa JNSP & Sophie Laporte have in common? At first glance not much. And yet … these three young women have created their business. They put aside their apprehensions, the reservations of those around them, to embark on the great entrepreneurial adventure. And they are far from the only ones. Over the past 30 years, the number of businesses started by women has grown at a record high. Parity has not yet been reached, but in 2019 they represented 40% of business creators in France. More numerous, companies led by women would also be more efficient. Businesses run by women are on average 8% * more profitable than businesses run by men. And even if the Covid crisis has happened there,
A good reason to listen to these three talented entrepreneurs!

Cindy Poumeyrol launched her box in 2020, in the midst of the Covid crisis. A hell of a bet for the young woman made famous by the Koh Lanta show. The idea for "Maison Nicole" was born during Cindy's maternity leave. “I was asked more and more by brands to work on Instagram and I said to myself 'this is the time to launch my box, she explains. Having an audience on social networks m 'gave confidence and also to become a mother I think it increases our strength tenfold. " His advices ? "The risk is there of course when you start a business, but I want to say to future creators, 'also think about success, all that it will bring you and the pride that you can take from it.

Sophie Laporte, with her husband Julien, launched a French brand of perfumes and cosmetics Un Air d´Antan 5 years ago … "We realized our dream of setting up a joint project". Very quickly they were joined by a third partner, Hélène. Together they imagine deliciously retro beauty products that are entirely designed in three French factories and focus on digital. His advice: “There is room for all businesses, weigh the pros and cons, but trust yourself. Above all, keep in mind that there is always an element of madness in starting a business, the risk. is inherent in entrepreneurship. "

Léa JNSP is a very young "multi-cap" entrepreneur. At 24, she is at the head of a flourishing business. Originally Youtuber, she diversified by launching her brand “Craquotte & Pajama”, a concept store that brings together the best of decoration, style, stationery and well-being in the broad sense. At the same time, she founded a communication agency Basile conseil and a podcast. On Craquotte, Léa selects products that she likes and that are practical. Ele makes no concessions on both quality and style. His advices ? "Do not count your hours. It must be said, the creation of a business is a colossal workload, especially at start-up"; "When things start to turn out well and we are well surrounded, accept to delegate, which I had a lot of trouble doing because it's difficult to trust, we entrust part of everything we have created "; "to train: today we have access to a lot of tools and online training which are for months nuggets." ; "do not neglect your sanity".
