Ten years in the life of a tech product manufacturer is a pivotal moment. In a decade, design and technologies have had time to make a significant leap. Ten years is also an opportunity to take stock of past successes and, above all, to announce future developments.
And that’s exactly what OnePlus chose to do. For its anniversary, the manufacturer has just announced and launched its latest premium smartphones, the OnePlus 12 and its cousin the OnePlus 12R. Designed for intensive uses such as mobile gaming, they offer a technical sheet accordingly: SUPERVOOC ultra-fast charging, very beautiful AMOLED screen, rain resistance and the promise of unchanged performance for 4 years. OnePlus 12: the premium among the premiums
With its OnePlus 12, the manufacturer aims to condense the best on the market, starting with its SoC. With a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, OnePlus proves that it is possible to integrate the best chip available on the market in 2024 at a price of less than 1000 euros (in 12 +256 GB version). To establish the performance of its very latest flagshipthe manufacturer has also integrated Trinity Enginea software tool made in OnePlus designed to make the user experience faster and smoother.
To meet the demands of users fond of mobile games, OnePlus has also worked hard on its screen. The 6.82-inch LTPO+ panel offers an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. This means that your smartphone will adapt its refresh rate depending on your activity: high to support a gaming session and lower if you are just reading an article. Better, the manufacturer also uses ProXDR technology on its screens to automatically adapt the brightness depending on what is displayed on the screen. As a result, the images will offer perfect exposure, in both the lightest and darkest areas. To frame this large smartphone, OnePlus has chosen an elegant and above all solid design: Cornilla GlassVictus 2 glass on the front, and back in non-slip matte glass, colored in an emerald green with satin reflections or a sober, but elegant black in back.
Last strong point of the OnePlus 12: its camera. Designed in partnership with Hasselblad, it is equipped with one of Sony’s latest sensors: the 50 megapixel LYT-808. OnePlus 12R: the best of OnePlus at a reasonable price
Close to its cousin the OnePlus 12, the 12R offers a summary of the best innovations from OnePlus without having the price since the smartphone is offered at only 699 euros.
For this price, OnePlus makes relatively few compromises since this 12R model offers a 6.78-inch screen combining the same screen technologies as the OnePlus 12. Its 5,500 mAh battery is a little more powerful and benefits from the same charge. fast SUPERVOOC 100 W. Good news, its design is also very similar to the One12Plus, both in its technical design and in its visual appearance: same screen protection material and a glass back that looks great.
On the processor side, the OnePlus 12R benefits from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the best chip for high-end smartphones of 2023. To support it, like the OnePlus 12, it is equipped with Trinity Engine an algorithm that ensures optimized and ultra-smooth navigation.
Photography is also in the spotlight with a triple module composed of:
- a main sensor 50 megapixels ;
- a sensor dedicated to shootingultra-wide-angle 8 megapixels;

The OnePlus 12R therefore presents itself as an alternative to the OnePlus 12 without compromising on the manufacturing quality and technologies integrated into the smartphone. For a very low price of 699 euros, the manufacturer offers a premium product which benefits from a solid processor, an extremely complete camera and a powerful battery with super fast charging speed. The OnePlus 12R is available in two colors blue and black at a price of 699 euros in its 16 +256 GB version.
OnePlus Buds 3: good sound at the right price
To go with its new smartphones, OnePlus also presented a new pair of headphonestrue wireless: the OnePlus Buds 3. Priced at 99 euros, the latest in-ear headphones from the Chinese manufacturer promise very good sound performance. Equipped with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), the OnePlus Buds 3 promise to eliminate up to 49 dB of ambient noise and no less than 99.6% elimination of extraneous noise. Certified by the famous German institute TÜV Rheinland, the new headphones from OnePlus guarantee “high performance noise cancellation“.
Better still, the ambient noise cancellation system is adaptive and can, if necessary, decrease. You can therefore go from 49 dB suppression to 20 dB or 10 dB depending on your needs. The option can be set automatically or manually and can adapt to your environment. If it is rather quiet, an ANC set to 10 dB will be sufficient. In a noisier environment, 49 dB removed will make a difference to your listening comfort.
In addition, the OnePlus Buds 3 benefit from a transparency mode which allows you to preserve, equally, the sound coming from your playlists and the ambient sound. A very useful feature if you want to listen to an announcement made on public transport or if you need to be attentive to your surroundings before crossing the road.
Battery wise, these little headphones are made to last. Not content with promising a battery life of 10 hours on a single charge and 44 hours in total with charging via the case (ANC disabled), they only need 10 minutes of charging to regain seven hours of battery life.
The OnePlus Buds 3 also benefit from a Bluetooth 5.3 connection which guarantees foolproof connection stability as well as Google Fast Pair which allows the headphones to connect to two devices and change source devices in the blink of an eye. The OnePlus Buds 3 are available for pre-order at the price of 89 euros instead of 99 euros until February 5.
