In an interview with Femme Actuelle, Line Papin confirmed that she had lost twins in 2020 and then had an abortion a year later.
Line Papin confirmed the sad events. In an interview with Current wife, the ex-girlfriend of Marc Lavoine has indeed confirmed having experienced two painful moments in recent years: a miscarriage and an abortion. First, in 2020, the novelist lost the twins she was expecting. “The first termination of pregnancy I suffered was involuntary: I had a miscarriage at two months of pregnancy in 2020 during the first confinement, when I was expecting twins.” she explained. Then, a year later, pregnant, she chose not to keep her baby. “The second termination of pregnancy was voluntary. I made the decision to abort a year after having had a miscarriage.” confirmed Line Papin.
It should be noted that it was following these two events that the young woman embarked on writing her book A possible lifeto be published by Stock in March 2022. “I explain in the book that I started writing about abortion because I encountered a sense of guilt inside, a silence outside. One added to the other to conform a form of shame.” she confided.
Line Papin: “There have been so many upheavals in me, so many injuries, that it was no longer the time”
If some may wonder about his act, Line Papin then wanted to make things clear. “When you wanted a pregnancy that ends, it would seem natural to carry it through for a second. But when I got pregnant again a year later, I had the feeling that reality was no longer ready to accept my old desires, my dream of motherhood. The circumstances were no longer the same. There were so many upheavals in me, so many wounds, that it was no longer the time. For me it had become impossible to become mother. It was technically, biologically possible but humanly impossible. It is difficult to explain and to understand. Whether it is a miscarriage or an abortion: in both cases there is a will but a impossibility. And both a heartbreak.” she concluded.
