Three million sales for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

Whereas a week ago, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak made a strong start with nearly two million copies sold worldwide, the extension confirms its success. An additional one million copies were sold in the past week, bringing total sales to 3 million for the first major expansion of monster hunter rise. A great success for this opus of the Monster Hunter license which, let us remember, has reached 10 million sales.

But if Capcom is of course satisfied with this launch, the publisher does not intend to stop there and hopes to see the numbers increase further during the summer. In particular thanks to the various free updates which Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will benefit from next August.

It remains to be seen if all this will be enough to break the franchise record, held by Monster Hunter World and its expansion Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. In four years of existence, this opus has indeed sold nearly 18 million copies. And its extension, meanwhile, after starting at 2.5 million copies sold in one week, now totals just over 9 million sales.
