three new games available, including a marvel

While waiting for May 21 for THE big release of the month on Xbox Game Pass, the service is welcoming three new games, including a wonderful indie gem.

The Xbox Game Pass release schedule for the month of May is indeed quite busy. We will notably remember Hellblade 2, eagerly awaited on May 21. Until then, subscribers to Microsoft’s service will have something to wait for with these three new games.

The Xbox Game Pass catalog is filled with three new games

Let’s start in chronological order of arrivals, and with the most interesting game of the three newcomers. Chants of Sennaar, developed by independent studio Rundisc in 2023, arrived on Xbox Game Pass on May 15 (PC, Cloud and consoles). This is an exclusively single-player adventure/puzzle game in which we will have to bring together different peoples of a certain tower by learning their respective languages. This little indie gem has been praised by critics and the public, for excellent reasons. If you’ve never played it and you’re a subscriber to Microsoft’s service, you can find out why at no cost.

On May 16, two Electronic Arts games arrived, via EA Play. First up, we have Immortals of Aveum (PC, Xbox Series and Cloud). Developed by Ascendent Studios and also released in 2023, it is an FPS in which our weapons are spells. The title offers solid artistic direction and rather nervous gameplay. Like Chants of Sennaar, Immortals of Aveum is a single-player experience only. In any case, you will be able to see this at no additional cost if you are a subscriber to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

The latest game deployed on Microsoft’s service is EA Sports NHL 24 (Cloud), once again via EA Play. If you are a fan of ice hockey, you should enjoy this title. This intends to offer an immersive experience, driven in particular by the Fatigue engine, which weighs on players’ endurance. It will be possible to enjoy it both in solo with a career mode and in multiplayer for more intense games. EA Play requires, however, you must have the Ultimate plan to access it.
