Now also with 5G: Redmi Note 11S 5G

The Redmi Note 11S 5G comes in three colors.

Compared to the Redmi Note 11S (MediaTek Helio G96), the Redmi Note 11S 5G the MediaTek Dimensity 810 is used. The price increases from 279.90 euros to 329.90 euros for the same memory. It stays with the good 6.43-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. However, the data of the camera equipment corresponds more to the Redmi Note 11. Instead of 108 megapixels (MP), there are 50 MP, flanked by 8 MP ultra wide angle and 2 MP macro. The battery is unchanged at 5,000 milliampere hours (mAh). The Redmi Note 11S 5G is expected to be available from June 2022 with 6/128 gigabytes (RAM/device memory) for 329.90 euros (RRP) available.

New top of the range: Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G

The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G is the new top model of the series.

How many suffixes can you put in a model name? In case of Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G a whole lot. What does the “+” stand for? The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 920. There is support from the Mali-G68 graphics unit. This makes the Pro+ the most powerful Redmi Note 11 model. There is 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of device storage. The battery can now be charged super-fast with 120 watts. The manufacturer promises only 15 minutes for a charge. However, this could also be necessary a little earlier, because the capacity of the Pro+ at 4,500 mAh is at least 500 mAh below the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. However, the 6-nanometer manufacturing process is intended to make the processor faster and more economical at the same time. Still, the 10 percent lower capacity isn’t necessarily what you’d expect from a “Plus” model. From the outside, it sticks to the rather angular frame design, which is rounded off in the right places. Frame and back are made of matte plastic. The display under the Gorilla Glass 5 remains unchanged and that’s a good thing: The 6.67-inch OLED with a speed of up to 120 Hertz is high-contrast and has a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. The camera has a whopping 108 MP resolution. With 9-in-1 pixel binning, 12 MP is standard. There is also an 8 MP ultra wide angle lens and a 2 MP macro lens. The front camera is 16 MP. On board are NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, dual SIM (only one slot with 5G) and a jack. The dimensions are 163.7×76.2×8.4 mm. The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G weighs 204 grams. It comes in grey, “star blue” and green. It will be available in three variants from April 6, 2022: With 6/128 GB for 399.90 euros8/128GB for 429.90 euros and 8/256GB for 449.90 euros (all RRP).
