Rabastens, in the Tarn, former stopover on the way to Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle.

Rabastens (Tarn) owes this wealth largely to the pastel and wine trade. The barges that once sailed down the Tarn served the ports of the Garonne, before their cargoes were shipped throughout Europe. What remains from these ancient times are the private mansions of rich merchants, built on the banks of the river. Along the banks, you can walk and take a dip as soon as the nice weather arrives.

Rabastens is also a cultural and associative hub, with La Fourmilière, which exhibits the work of local artists, and La Confiserie, a unique bookstore. It is in this building dating from 1837 that Lucette once sold candy to the village children.
