Three towns in Essonne affected by a drinking water restriction

Several towns in Essonne can no longer use their tap water since last night. A temporary restriction order was published on Monday, February 28 by the prefecture.

“Tap water should not be consumed or used for domestic purposes. Analyzes in progress,” said the prefecture of Essonne on Twitter. This measure taken “as a precaution” follows a malicious act

These restrictions concern the drinking water of the municipalities of Prunay-sur-Essonne, Buno-Bonnevaux and Gironville-sur-Essonne, as specified in the tweet.

The Regional Health Agency, for its part, urgently carried out analyzes to ensure that the quality of the water distributed was maintained. Pending the results of these analyses, it is advisable to use “bottled water”, as was specified in the press release published this morning.

The inhabitants of these three municipalities should nevertheless quickly find out whether they can drink tap water again or not.
