Thrown into the field – motorcycle accident in Tyrol: bikers seriously injured

A Tyrolean (29) got into the opposite lane with his motorcycle near Breitenbach on Sunday afternoon and crashed into an oncoming biker (48). Both men were seriously injured and their machines were completely destroyed.

Around 4.30 p.m., a local (41) drove his car in the municipality of Breitenbach at the level of the Haus district on the Unterinntaler Landesstraße in the direction of Kramsach. Because of two cyclists driving in front of him, the man slowed down. The 29-year-old driving behind him noticed this too late on his motorcycle, initially collided with the car, swerved to the left, got into the oncoming lane and crashed into the oncoming motorcycle of a 48-year-old Turk.

Road closed for two hours
“Both motorcyclists were thrown into the adjacent field by the impact and were seriously injured,” said the police.
The motorcycles were totally destroyed in the accident. After the first aid by the emergency doctor and the rescue, the seriously injured motorcyclists were taken to the surrounding hospitals. The L211 was closed to all traffic for two hours while the accident was recorded.
