thyssenkrupp nucera: Convincing first release


(CercleFinance.com) – thyssenkrupp nucera reported better-than-expected performance on Monday in its first quarterly earnings release since its IPO in early July.

The specialist in electrolysis equipment for the production of green hydrogen saw its operating profit (Ebit) climb by 59% to 7.7 million euros in the third quarter of its fiscal year 2022/2023.

Its turnover over the three months ended at the end of June jumped 90% to reach 187.5 million euros, for order intake up 13% to 242.4 million.

These better-than-expected results are mainly due to the dynamism of its alkaline water electrolysis (AWE) activity, whose sales have multiplied by ten over the past quarter.

Its chlor-alkali technology saw its sales fall by 13% to 77 million euros.

Given the strength of its order book, the group expects to post “strong growth” in its turnover for the whole of the 2022/2023 financial year, but specifies that the investors necessary to supply of its development could weigh on its margins.

The title thyssenkrupp nucera rose by more than 3% on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Monday morning in the wake of this publication. Since its IPO on July 7, its share price has risen by more than 10%.
