(CercleFinance.com) – The German industrial group thyssenkrupp announced on Monday that its subsidiary bringing together its activities in electrolysis modules for the production of green hydrogen, called thyssenkrupp nucera, would be floated on the stock market by the holiday period. of summer.

The proposed offer provides for a fundraising of between 500 and 600 million euros, an amount intended to fuel the growth of thyssenkrupp nucera’s activities in alkaline water electrolysis.

In the first half of its 2022/2023 financial year, thyssenkrupp nucera recorded a turnover increase of 74% to 306 million euros, mainly driven by its businesses in alkaline electrolysis.

Its current operating profit (Ebit) amounted to 13.3 million euros over the period.

This IPO project comes as the hydrogen market is expected to increase sevenfold by 2050.

thyssenkrupp says it plans to remain a long-term shareholder of its subsidiary and to support its growth strategy.

The action gained 0.9% Monday morning at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
