Tiffany Haddish has lived with a foster family herself. Now she plans to enlarge her family with an adoption.

Comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish (42) wants to adopt a child. In a published on Wednesday (January 19). Video interview with E!’s Daily Pop she gave an update on her plans. Only recently she was in Eritrea in Africa.

She was amazed at how quickly her desire to have children could come true there: she literally had to press the brakes with the words: “Wait, I have to do the paperwork now, I can’t just take children with me.” When asked if she still wants to adopt a child, she replies “yes”. The date is not yet certain: “Not now, but maybe at the end of the year, early next year.”

Children should have the feeling that they are wanted

Previously childless Haddish has spoken about her family plans. She shared this in May 2021 also with E! News. Accordingly, she would have taken child-rearing courses in order to adopt. She also shared the age her future child should be: five and older.

Haddish herself grew up with foster parents from the age of twelve. She said so during her appearance on the Talk show “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman”, which can be seen on Netflix. She and her four siblings were placed in the care of strangers after their mother became violent. All the more she wants to give a safe home.
