Installed in France since 2004, the tiger mosquito has proliferated in our country in recent years. The Ministry of Solidarity and Health published a press release on Tuesday May 2 to place around sixty French departments on red alert from May to November 2022.
Vector of diseases such as Chikungunya, dengue or the Zika virus, the tiger mosquito has a particular appearance with black and white stripes. To avoid seeing this insect of less than 5mm in size proliferate in your area, it is recommended to empty stagnant water and maintain your garden.

From a human protection point of view, anyone facing it is advised to wear long clothing and use skin repellents to avoid any bites.
