After his serious car accident, Tiger Woods gave a health update on Twitter: He was "in good spirits".

Golf legend Tiger Woods (45) has had several operations and treatments in the past few days after his serious car accident at the beginning of the week. Now the athlete's team thanked him on Twitter for the support of fans and friends and gave a health update.

Woods was moved from Harbor-UCLA Medical Center to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Thursday, February 25th. A statement on his Twitter account states that he will receive follow-up treatment there. "The treatments were successful and he is now recovering and in good spirits," it continues.

In closing, Woods and his family would like to thank "all the wonderful support and news they have received over the past few days." In order to protect the privacy of the former professional golfer, there would be no further updates on his health for the time being.

Woods had strayed from a street in Los Angeles on Tuesday, the car had overturned several times according to US media reports. He is said to have broken several debris in his leg. Apart from the sports star, nobody was involved in the crash. The authorities announced that so far there has been no evidence of drug or alcohol abuse.
