In an interview with the “New York Times” Uchitel spoke about her affair with the then married Woods and the impact on her life. She said she allegedly signed a nondisclosure agreement in 2009 prohibiting her from talking about the affair. In return, she was supposed to receive a payment of 5 million US dollars, and in addition the promise of one million dollars a year for the three following years, as the “New York Times” further reports.
However, Uchitel reportedly broke the deal in 2019 after agreeing to unpack in an HBO documentary called “Tiger,” which was released earlier this year. “I wanted to be the one to tell my story,” she told the newspaper about her reasons. The ex-nightclub owner, who is said to have filed for personal bankruptcy, said that after the broadcast, a lawyer from Woods took action for violating the confidentiality agreement.
