Star golfer Tiger Woods had to be hospitalized after a car accident. According to a spokesman, he needed an operation.
Star golfer Tiger Woods (45, "How I Play Golf") had to be hospitalized after a serious car accident. Los Angeles County Police Department confirmed the incident via Twitter. A golfer's spokesman told Golf Digest that Woods had to undergo surgery and suffered multiple leg injuries.
The police report also states that the firefighters who were called had to rescue Woods from the wrecked car with hydraulic rescue shears. According to this, Woods SUV suffered "severe damage". The 45-year-old is said to have been traveling alone. Other vehicles were not involved in the accident, according to the report.
