Tights without a foot – is the trend coming back?

2003 was the year of wild short hairstyles, short skirts and the monster wonder balls. But it was also the year of the tights. Back then we wore them without a foot – like leggings, only thinner. Well, how should we put it … It seems like this trend is coming back.

Tights without a foot – the new it piece of the season?

How do we know? By model Chrissy Teigen. She wore the good old tights without a foot a few days ago and we have to admit: it doesn't look that bad. Because although we never dreamed of buying such tights again, Chrissy styles them really mega stylish on a date with her husband John Legend.

She combines them with an all-black outfit: a blazer wrap dress, a tiny crossbody bag and strappy sandals. Her tights also have a fine pattern, which makes them look less boring and basic. This look is obviously the best proof that you can still style any trend, no matter how dead. The main thing is not to combine the tights with a jeans skirt and ballerina – otherwise we will feel like we were back in 2003.

When do we wear the parts?

Especially with sandals, the tights without a foot are a really good option, as stockings and tights NEVER look good with open shoes. So we kill two birds with one stone. By the way: We just saw the footless tights on the Chanel and Missoni catwalk. At the latest in the next autumn / winter season, they will be a must-have in our wardrobe. Or you are already getting a pair, because you can already buy the first models – among others from FALKE, Calzedonia or Wolford. Or you still have one from back then.

Speaking of back then: By the way, we wouldn't have anything against monster wonder balls. Can you still buy them somewhere ?!
