TikTok Lite, the new application of the eponymous social network, available on iOS and Android, promises remuneration in exchange for viewing videos. A magic formula which should allow the Chinese application to make its subscribers even more addicted to long-term scrolling.

Unlike the TikTok application, the Lite version has a “rewards center” in its menus. This allows you to collect virtual coins by carrying out actions: connecting to the application every day, “liking” videos, accumulating viewing time, etc.
The virtual coins earned can be spent in different ways, including exchanging for Amazon gift certificates or donating to a content creator on the social network. Concerning the remuneration scale, here is what TikTok Lite offers:
- 1 minute of cumulative viewing time: 150 virtual rooms;
- 10 minutes of cumulative viewing time: 1,500 virtual rooms;
- 25 minutes of cumulative viewing time: 4,200 virtual rooms.
After proving their identity using an official identity document, the user will be able to convert their virtual currency into a real reward. However, note that 100 virtual coins correspond to one euro cent; a winning calculation for TikTok, in its quest for active users… and ever more addicts.
