Like Twitter with his program SuperFollowers, another social network is preparing to offer paid (but optional) formulas to its users. It is TikTok who will opt for a model similar to that used by Twitch.

While everyone will remain free to use TikTok for free, the Chinese social network will implement a feature this Thursday that will allow users to access various benefits related to their favorite content creators. Launched this week in beta, the program will initially only be available by invitation to a few famous Tiktokeurs.

Really essential little bonuses?

Called LIVE Subscription, the subscription will therefore offer privileges such as access to an exclusive chat reserved for subscribers, but also to additional emotes or badges that will be publicly visible. Internet users will then have the possibility of exchanging more easily in a restricted committee with one or more creators.

TikTok will opt for an economic model modeled on that of Twitch. Thus, the monthly rate to subscribe to a profile will start at 4.99 dollars and can visibly climb up to 24.99 dollars depending on the level selected. There will still be restrictions such as the fact that only users aged 18 or over will be able to take out such a subscription or offer one to their community. It will also be necessary to have at least 1,000 subscribers to be eligible.
