Khaby Lame, the young Senegalese-Italian TikTokeur, is honored in the new season of the survival and construction game Fortnite. Players will be able to embody it during the games.
A Tiktoker embodied in Fortnite, it had never been seen before. It’s now done in the new Chapter 4 Season 4 of the building and survival game, which went live on August 25, 2023.
We discover the lookalike of Khaby Lame, the 23-year-old Senegalese-Italian videographer, who became known thanks to his humorous TikTok videos. His style is recognizable from afar: he often sports a phlegmatic attitude while shrugging his shoulders. This gimmick has of course been imported into the game from the Epic Games studio, which has a habit in each new season of paying tribute to famous or fictitious personalities. We have already been able to see She-Hulk, Iron Man, Spider-Man but also Neymar or the streamer Ninja.
Khaby Lame now has a skin in Fortnite
In the game Fortnite, 100 players are dropped on an island on which they must eliminate to the last. It is a free video game, which works on the free-to-play model. This means that everyone has access to it for free, and those who choose to pay do not gain competitive in-game advantages.
On the other hand, it is possible to pay to change the appearance of your character: this is called a skin (a skin, in English). Khaby Lame has therefore become a “ skin ” of Fortnite, like many stars before him. We observe in the trailer that he is decked out in an outfit in the style of tech-wear (technical clothing), as well as a top whose colors recall the flag of Senegal (yellow, green and shades of red).
To get the Blade skin, you have to buy the Battlepass of Fortnite, which costs around 10 euros for the season. This pass gives access to outfits and allows you to unlock winnings as you play.
Hot on the heels of the Season 4 update, the Tiktokeur released a promo video specifically centered around him, with the same humorous tone. We see him surprise a burglar who attacks a huge safe with professional tools. He tells her to take a better look at the door of the safe, on which is stuck a post-it with the password (which is… “password”). Yes, sometimes it’s as simple as that ?? ♂️
