Filmmaker Til Schweiger (56, "Honey in the Head") creates a documentary about the life of football star Bastian Schweinsteiger (35). The film is due to be released by the Amazon Prime Video streaming service later this year. In the documentary, the 2014 world champion will also provide insights into his private life. The two have now met in Mallorca – and they were not alone.
"It gets better by the minute …!"
On a selfie that Schweiger posted on his Instagram account, his wife Ana Ivanovic (32) and Angelique Kerber (32) can be seen alongside him and Schweinsteiger. Ivanovic was a professional tennis player until the end of 2016 and won the French Open (2008). Kerber is still actively playing tennis. Her biggest successes include victories at the Australian Open (2016), US Open (2016) and Wimbledon (2018). In addition to football, tennis should also have a certain place in the documentary.
Schweiger writes about the four-man selfie: "It gets better by the minute …!" Another photo from Mallorca shows Schweinsteiger with a donkey named "Henry".
Amazon said of the project: "The documentary film produced by Til Schweiger spans Schweinsteiger's career from the beginning of his seventeen-year career at FC Bayern Munich to his leadership role in the German national team to this day. Experts like Gerhard Delling and legends of German football like Uli Hoeneß, Oliver Kahn and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge have their say. "
